CUSP to allow flexibility says MD
14 October 2008
THE CUSP holding company, otherwise known as Consolidated Underwriting Services Pty Ltd, is intended to be the vanguard of expansion of underwriting agencies from the overall parent the ACIL group of Western Australia.
“CUSP is designed to allow the flexibility of each underwriting agency, Aurora and CEMAC so far, to be represented in every state where we have resources,” said Wayne Miller, managing director of CUSP and ACIL.
“Underwriting agency is a relationship business and I believe local markets like to have a local contact to facilitate, represent, advocate, and build together.
“Given the age of computers and It communication, we can have a decision maker in Brisbane and marketing in Melbourne and achieve a better result than having everything from Brisbane.
“I believe CEMAC's lack of representation in the key state of Western Australia for its chosen classes has impeded its growth and this is rectified under our company structure.”
